Warehouse, Dispatch & Quality Team Leader

We are recruiting for a detail-oriented and organised individual with a strong interest in vehicle parts to take on the role of Warehouse, Dispatch & Quality Team Leader.

Situated at our Winsford site, this position entails overseeing the Warehouse Team and managing all aspects of the Warehouse, Dispatch & Quality Control operations. The primary objective is to maintain smooth and efficient operations in both areas, playing a crucial role in meeting our customers’ requirements for the purchased parts.

Key Areas of Responsibility, Activities & Tasks Involved:

Warehouse

  1. Ensure all parts are physically located in the appropriate stores location and the database updated accordingly.
  2. Guarantee the fulfilment of all customer orders within set SLAs, picking parts and moving these to the correct area for dispatch to the customer.
  3. Ensure the stock taking process is followed and up to date, stock movements are processed, any damaged or redundant parts are removed from shelves and the database updated accordingly.
  4. Ensure returned parts are processed to determine if the part is suitable for resale, regrading or disposed of.

Dispatch

  1. Ensure all parts are processed in accordance with company standards and procedures in a timely and effective manner.
  2. Utilise integrated systems and standards to enable all orders to be fulfilled to our customers, ensuring each item undergoes stringent quality control.
  3. Ensure all logistical schedules are met in full and on time by liaising with relevant 3PL, in house transport and ad-hoc solutions.

Other Warehouse & Dispatch Responsibilities

  1. Leadership & Development of Direct Reports (Parts delivery driver, Warehouse, Dispatch & Quality Operative and Supervisor).
  2. Work with other team members within the business to enable operational synergy through the supply chain.
  3. Maintain and take ownership of general housekeeping within your selected functional area and manage to a high standard to create a safe and streamlined environment.
  4. Take ownership of all general team health, safety, wellbeing and compliance matters, seeking support from relevant areas wherever needed, escalate as appropriate.

Safety First Mandatory Operational Leadership Expectations

  1. Daily Pre-Job Safety Meetings, Monthly Forklift Truck Safety Observations, Spill Kit, First Aid Kit Inspections, Recording of Fire Safety Check and monthly Site Inspections.
  2. One Stop Audit Per Month.

Skills & Experience Required

  1. Experience in transport/ warehousing/logistics/distribution role.
  2. IT and able to use WMS and other systems.
  3. Experience of using forklift and order picking equipment (HILOP/LILOP).
  4. Car Parts knowledge.
  5. Basic knowledge of local area and road networks.
  6. Safety Awareness in Manual Handling.

  1. Level 2 Warehousing.
