Job summary

Taking Care is seeking a Warehouse Assistant in Devon to join a busy team. You will help pick, pack and dispatch alarm devices while maintaining stock accuracy and supporting refurbishment activities.

The role requires organised, reliable individuals with ability to lift up to 20 kg and work as part of a team. On-site tasks include stock control, documentation and customer service support.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse, stores or stock control experience.
• Experience using Navision or similar stock systems.
• Comfortable lifting up to 20kg and handling physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Picking, packing and dispatching alarm units and fulfilment stock within agreed timescales.
• Processing customer sales orders from receipt through to dispatch.
• Maintaining accurate stock records and supporting stock control processes.
• Preparing and shipping alarm units, accessories and marketing materials in line with picking notes.
• Working closely with Royal Mail and courier services to ensure efficient deliveries.
• Reporting stock issues to the Warehouse Manager.
• Supporting regular stock takes to maintain accuracy and identify discrepancies.
• Assisting with alarm refurbishment activities, including booking in equipment and cleaning devices to a high standard.
• Ensuring warehouse procedures are followed and helping maintain cost-effective packing and postage processes.
• Providing excellent customer service and support where required.
