Job summary

Taking Care is seeking a Warehouse Assistant to join our Devon warehouse team. This hands‑on role covers picking, packing, stock control and dispatch, ensuring devices and equipment are sent accurately and on time.

You will support refurbishment, coordinate with Royal Mail and couriers, and help maintain stock accuracy. The role requires reliability, teamwork and the ability to lift 20 kg.

Qualifications

• > Previous warehouse, stores or stock control experience.
• < Strong organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
• < Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• < Pick and pack experience.
• < ISO 9001 quality environment experience.
• < Royal Mail Online Business Account (OBA) experience.
• < Courier dispatch systems or logistics databases experience.
• < Navision and/or Sage Intacct stock management experience.
• < Navision/Sage Intacct stock management experience.

Responsibilities

• Picking, packing and dispatching alarm units and fulfilment stock within agreed timescales.
• Processing customer sales orders from receipt through to dispatch.
• Maintaining accurate stock records and supporting stock control processes.
• Preparing and shipping alarm units, accessories and marketing materials in line with picking notes.
• Working closely with Royal Mail and courier services to ensure efficient deliveries.
• Reporting stock issues to the Warehouse Manager.
• Supporting regular stock takes to maintain accuracy and identify discrepancies.
• Assisting with alarm refurbishment activities, including booking in equipment and cleaning devices to a high standard.
• Ensuring warehouse procedures are followed and helping maintain cost‑effective packing and postage processes.
• Providing excellent customer service and support where required.
