Job summary

Taking Care is recruiting a Warehouse Assistant to join our Devon warehouse team. You will pick, pack and dispatch alarm devices and related stock, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery to customers.

You’ll support refurbishment activities, maintain stock records, and liaise with Royal Mail and couriers to optimise deliveries. A proactive team player with experience in stock management and Excel will thrive in this hands-on role.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse, stores or stock control.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work well in a team.
• Pick and pack experience.
• Experience in ISO 9001 environment.
• Experience with Royal Mail Online Business Account (OBA).
• Experience with courier dispatch systems or logistics databases.
• Experience with stock management systems such as Navision.

Responsibilities

• Pick, pack and dispatch alarm units and fulfilment stock within agreed timescales.
• Process customer sales orders from receipt through to dispatch.
• Maintain accurate stock records and support stock control processes.
• Prepare and ship alarm units, accessories and marketing materials.
• Collaborate with Royal Mail and courier services for efficient deliveries.
• Report stock issues to the Warehouse Manager.
• Support regular stock takes to ensure accuracy.
• Assist refurbishment activities and clean devices to high standards.
• Ensure procedures are followed and cost-effective packing/postage.
• Provide excellent customer service when required.
