Job summary

JDR Recruitment is recruiting for Warehouse Cleaners at a large distribution centre based in Sutton-In-Ashfield. This temp-to-perm role involves keeping warehouse floors clean with sweepers, scrubbers and safe handling of COSHH chemicals.

You will work day, night or rotating shifts on a 4 on 4 off cycle, earning £12.94 per hour. Previous warehouse cleaning experience and the ability to follow health and safety instructions are essential.

• Support deep-cleaning and special cleaning projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean warehouse floors using sweepers, scrubber machines, and manual cleaning equipment.
• Empty bins and dispose of waste according to site procedures.
• Clean staff facilities including canteens, break rooms, toilets, locker rooms, and offices.
• Ensure walkways, workstations, and loading areas remain clean and free from hazards.
• Replenish cleaning supplies and consumables.
• Report maintenance issues, spillages, hazards, or damaged equipment.
• Follow health and safety procedures and COSHH guidelines.
• Use cleaning chemicals safely and correctly.
• Support deep-cleaning schedules and special cleaning projects.
• Maintain accurate cleaning records where required.
• Ability to work independently.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Ability to follow health and safety instructions.
• Physically fit and able to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout a shift.
• Previous cleaning or industrial cleaning experience.
• Experience working in a warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of cleaning machinery such as floor scrubbers.
• Understanding of COSHH regulations.
