Job summary

Cencora’s Central Logistics Centre in Birmingham seeks a proactive Control Room Specialist to monitor KNAPP and Manhattan WMS, optimise performance and support operations. You will work at the heart of our automated warehouse, ensuring maximum system availability and driving continuous improvements.

You will collaborate with IT, engineering and operations, handling issues, planning weekly activities and upholding GDP and safety standards.

Qualifications

Experience in a high-volume warehouse or logistics environment.
Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and automated technologies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Monitor KNAPP and Manhattan systems to ensure optimal performance and availability.
Identify, investigate and resolve system issues to minimise downtime.
Analyse performance to identify bottlenecks and improve throughput.
Provide operational system expertise and guidance to team leaders and managers.
Coordinate with IT, engineering and technical teams to fix equipment issues.
Manage workflow releases and outbound priorities to maintain service levels.
Support weekly warehouse planning activities including pick strategy and slotting.
Ensure compliance with GDP, health and safety standards and company procedures.
