Job summary

apetito's Portbury distribution centre seeks a Control Room Manager to ensure uptime, accurate material flow and effective cross‑team communication. You will oversee real‑time performance, troubleshoot issues and coordinate with Operations, Engineering and IT during both project and operational phases.

Key requirements include experience with SAP EWM, strong data analysis skills, and a valid driving licence. The role is based on-site with benefits aligned to a major UK employer.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of automated warehouse systems and material flow.
• Experience with SAP EWM and system integration environments.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving capability.
• Driving licence and access to your own transport are essential.
• Proficiency in Excel and BI dashboards.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, high‑volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor material flow and system performance in a live distribution environment.
• Provide first-line support for Operations, Engineering and IT.
• Maintain incident logs and escalate unresolved items to Engineering or IT.
• Collaborate with Engineering and IT to diagnose faults and implement safe workarounds.
• Produce reports and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
