Job summary

Alliance Healthcare, part of Cencora, is seeking a proactive Control Room Specialist for central Birmingham. You will monitor KNAPP and Manhattan WMS, drive performance, and support warehouse operations within a fast-paced distribution centre.

You will collaborate with IT, engineering and operations to keep systems available, implement improvements, and uphold GDP commitments and safety standards in a highly automated environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a high-volume warehouse or logistics environment.
• Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and automated technologies.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritise workloads and work across multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage KNAPP and Manhattan WMS for optimal performance.
• Identify, investigate, and resolve system issues to minimise downtime.
• Analyse system performance and identify bottlenecks to improve throughput.
• Support team leaders with operational system expertise and guidance.
• Coordinate with IT, engineering and technical teams to resolve issues.
• Manage workflow releases and outbound priorities to maintain service levels.
• Support weekly warehouse planning activities including pick strategy and slotting.
• Ensure compliance with GDP, health and safety standards and SOPs.
