Job description

Look no further - join us as a Warehouse Assistant in Skegness The role is part time for 14 hours a week in one of our busy furniture stores. Our stores are fast-paced and trade 7 days a week. This role requires flexibility to work weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis. Candidate must be fully flexible to work across 7 days per week including Weekends and Bank Holidays.

Day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• + Organising donated items and preparing them for sale/ Handling and moving the delivery of furniture and appliances that arrive in our stores
• + Ensuring the shop floor is always well stocked
• + Working in line with safety regulations and promoting health, safety and wellbeing in everything you do
• + Identifying unsaleable donations for recycling
• + Keeping the stockroom organised and tidy
• + Previous retail experience isn't essential. If you're an avid collector who likes to keep things neat and tidy, then we'd like to hear from you!
• + You'll be confident working within a team and able to guide the activity of volunteers
• + You'll work well under pressure and on your own initiative in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
• + Attention to detail in everything you do
• + Comfortable with a high level of hands on manual work that involves moving large items/volumes of stock

Please note, this role can be physical demanding and moving a high volume of donation bags / involves lifting large pieces of furniture. You will be given lots of autonomy in your role and will strive to continually build your knowledge of BHF.
