Stores / Warehouse Assistant - Bookham

Salary: £25,000 to £28,000 per annum

We are seeking a Stores / Warehouse Assistant to ensure the smooth operation of our warehouse. The role involves handling shipping, receiving, and materials management tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

This is a full-time position based at our factory in Bookham, reporting to the Stores Manager. The role includes, but is not limited to:

1. Receiving deliveries, unpacking, and booking parts into stock.
2. Picking and kitting parts for workshop use.
3. Picking, packing, and shipping spare parts orders.
4. Maintaining housekeeping of the stores and marshalling areas.
5. Assisting with vehicle unloading/loading manually and with a forklift (full training provided).

The ideal applicant should be:

• Punctual, self-motivated, and a good communicator.
• Physically fit, as the role involves manual handling.
• Familiar with basic office software.
• Ideally a car driver.

Working hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Thursday, and 8:00 AM to 3:45 PM on Friday.
