They are currently seeking a Senior Warehouse Assistant to join their logistics department.

Responsibilities:
Assist in the assembly and despatch of goods
Check and inspect goods received for accurate quantity, type, and quality
Maintain a tidy and organised stores area
Update and maintain the asset catalogue/register using the Asset Management System
Liaise with various stakeholders such as Campaign Managers, Field Support Managers, Suppliers, and transport companies
Coordinate the despatch and delivery of goods with couriers
Load and unload goods from company and third-party vehicles
Pick and pack items accurately, updating the stock system
Record pallet movements and update the stock system accordingly
Generate delivery notes/consignment labels using supplier portals
Operate company vehicles when necessary
Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to safety regulations
Provide cover for the Team Leader in their absence
Support the training and development of junior staff members
Able to work flexible hours, including weekends
Perform any other appropriate duties as directed by the Team Leader or Warehouse Manager
Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):
Previous experience working in a warehouse environment
Methodical approach to work and ability to prioritise and delegate tasks
Understanding of material/stock management techniques and inventory control procedures
Ability to work cooperatively within a team and mentor junior colleagues
Strong adherence to standard operating procedures and excellent organisational skills
Physical fitness and ability to lift and move heavy packages and objects
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Basic computer skills, including Excel and Outlook (training provided for specialist stock tracking software)
Clear oral and written communication skills for internal and external communication
Understanding of Health and Safety regulations
Honest, reliable, organised, and proactive approach
Forklift Licence - Counterbalance
Full Driving Licence
Desirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):
NVQ in Warehousing and Storage
PAT Certificate and experience
Good general DIY skills
Technologies:
Excel, Outlook, specialist stock tracking software (training provided)
