Job description

Parts & Warehouse Assistant
Location: Ruislip
Salary: £26,000 – £32,00
Hours: Full-time

We are currently seeking a Parts & Warehouse Assistant to join a well-established Plant Hire Company in Ruislip. This is a key role that involves supporting engineers and customers by identifying, sourcing, and managing parts, as well as coordinating warehouse activities.

Key Responsibilities:
* Responding to telephone and email enquiries from engineers and customers
* Liaising with suppliers and manufacturers to confirm product details and availability
* Raising quotations, sales orders, and purchase orders accurately
* Managing dispatch of goods via stock or direct from manufacturer
* Ensuring orders are covered by cleared funds or assigned correctly to credit accounts
* Monitoring stock accuracy through regular cycle counts and system updates
* Coordinating goods in/out, including unloading, checking, and receipting items
* Organising warehouse space, maintaining cleanliness, and adhering to health and safety policies
* Handling customer returns, credits, and warranty claims
* Supporting internal teams with parts identification, pricing, and availability
* Operating a forklift truck (valid licence preferred)

Skills and Qualification

* Experience in a parts, warehouse, or logistics environment
* Good administrative and organisational skills
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Competent in using ERP or stock management systems
* Forklift licence desirable
