Job summary

Placr Recruitment is helping a leading engineering business in Henfield recruit a Warehouse and Logistics Assistant. The role focuses on goods-in, stock control, order preparation, packing and dispatch, with attention to accuracy and safety.

You will maintain computerised records and support the shop floor while progressing your skills. We are seeking candidates with prior warehouse or logistics experience, a forklift counterbalance licence, and good data entry abilities using Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse or logistics experience.
• Must have counterbalance forklift licence.
• Good data entry and record keeping in Microsoft Office.
• Proactive team player with initiative and resilience.

Responsibilities

• Goods-in, stock control, order preparation, packing and dispatch.

What's on offer?

• Salary: £36,442 + bonus
• Hours: 44 per week, Monday to Friday
• Early shift: 6:00am–3:00pm (2:00pm finish on Fridays)
• Late shift: 8:00am–5:00pm (4:00pm finish on Fridays)

The Role

You'll play a key role in the smooth running of the warehouse and supply chain, covering goods-in, stock control, order preparation, packing and dispatch. You'll also maintain accurate computerised records, support the factory shop floor and help ensure high standards of organisation, safety and stock accuracy.

What We're Looking For

• Previous warehouse or logistics experience
• A working knowledge of Microsoft Office for data entry and record keeping
• A counterbalance forklift licence and experience operating materials-handling equipment
• Good attention to detail and pride in maintaining an organised warehouse
• A proactive team player who can use their initiative and work under pressure
• A positive attitude, with a genuine desire to learn, develop and progress
