Lawrence Dean Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a successful manufacturing business for an experienced Warehouse Operative with valid Counterbalance and/or Reach forklift licences.

The role is 37.5 hours per week, Mon-Fri with rotating 6:00–14:00 and 14:00–22:00 shifts, offering career progression and salary increases as you develop.

Starting salary £26,719 with structured progression and a permanent opportunity within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Valid Counterbalance and/or Reach forklift licence required.
• Previous warehouse/manufacturing experience.
• Ability to operate forklift trucks safely.
• Good attention to detail and basic numerical skills.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual handling.
• Willing to work outdoors in varying weather.
• Basic IT skills for warehouse documentation.
• Reliable, hardworking and safety-conscious.
• Able to work rotating shifts (6:00–14:00, 14:00–22:00).
• Full valid driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Pick and pack customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Operate Counterbalance and Reach forklifts to move stock.
• Receive and inspect incoming goods for damage or discrepancies.
• Move and store products safely within the warehouse.
• Complete warehouse paperwork and maintain records.
• Support the team to hit productivity targets.
• Maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment.
• Follow health and safety procedures and PPE usage.
• Assist with additional duties as required.

Working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, on a rotating shift pattern of 6:00am2:00pm and 2:00pm10:00pm, you'll be joining a busy warehouse and logistics team where teamwork, safety and attention to detail are essential.

Warehouse Operative Job Overview

• Pick and pack customer orders accurately and efficiently
• Operate Counterbalance and/or Reach Forklift Trucks to move and organise stock
• Receive and inspect incoming goods, identifying any damage or discrepancies
• Move, organise and store products safely within the warehouse
• Complete relevant warehouse paperwork and maintain accurate records
• Work towards individual and team productivity targets
