Job summary

University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 5 Staff Nurse to cover eight and a half months of maternity leave at Millom Community Hospital. The role is a fixed-term 27-hour contract, with internal rotation shifts seven days per week, and a roster to support the 9-bed inpatient unit and district nursing team.

The ideal candidate will take charge of the ward when on shift, deliver high standards of patient care, and work with MDT colleagues.

Qualifications

• Appropriate nursing qualification is required.

Responsibilities

• Take charge of the ward/unit when rostered.
• Support junior staff and participate in training of junior staff and students.
• Deliver high-quality patient care and maintain safety.
• Report concerns to senior nurses and follow trust documentation and IT systems.
