Job summary

North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting for a part-time Housekeeper on Ward 3, a 16-bed stroke rehabilitation unit, for maternity cover. The role includes maintaining a clean ward, serving meals, and upholding hygiene standards. Training is provided; prior housekeeping experience is not essential.

Posting covers 22.5 hours per week with a fixed-term contract until March 2027. The salary is £25,272 per annum pro rata, reflecting the part-time arrangement.

Qualifications

• Good standard of general education
• NVQ 1 in hotel services/food service or equivalent
• Experience in housekeeping/domestic duties is desirable but not essential

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, safe and comfortable ward environment for patients, visitors and staff.
• Serve patient meals and beverages at scheduled times and assist feeding as needed.
• Maintain high cleaning and hygiene standards in ward kitchens and store rooms.
