Job summary

University Hospitals Dorset in Poole is seeking a Band 5 nurse for a 9‑month secondment to cover maternity leave on Lulworth Ward. This busy complex care medical ward is managed by advanced nurse practitioners and requires an active UK NMC registration.

Qualifications

• NMC registered nurse with active registration.
• Experience in acute hospital setting preferred.
• Ability to work flexibly and as part of a multi-disciplinary team (MDT).

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate nursing care to patients.
• Monitor and interpret vital signs; administer medications as prescribed.
• Collaborate with the MDT to support patient independence and discharge planning.
