Job summary

The Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a qualified pharmacy technician (or Pre-Registration Trainee) to join our team. You will provide accurate dispensing for inpatients and wards, ensuring high standards of patient care and safety.

The role offers personal development, an Agenda for Change pay band 5, and flexible working patterns. Applicants must be registered with GPhC and have appropriate pharmacy qualifications.

Qualifications

• GPhC registration is essential.
• BTEC Level 3 or NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Service Skills required.
• Accuracy checking qualification preferred or willingness to undertake.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical service with focus on dispensing for inpatients, outpatients, and discharge patients.
• Gain experience in ward-based medicines management and dispensary services, mentoring staff.
• Support Medicines Management on wards with pharmacists, including histories and PODs.
