The Medicines Management Pharmacy Technician role at Northampton General Hospital NHS Trust has expanded to include clinical duties within wards and new areas such as Theatres, Critical Care, Emergency Department, Oncology, Maternity and Paediatrics. Our team supports patient care and encourages ongoing development.

We offer a band 4-5 development programme, a supportive team, and opportunities to attend conferences.

Qualificações

• Qualified Technician; NVQ Level 3 with BTEC in Pharmacy Services, or equivalent.
• Registered Technician.
• Substantial experience at Band 4 level (Hospital, Primary Care, Community).
• UK registration with NHS Careers.

Responsabilidades

• Assist the Clinical Pharmacists in identifying new patients and medicines reconciliations.
• Complete medicines reconciliation using recognised sources and effective communication with patients.
• Counsel patients on their medications.
• Manage medicine supply on assigned wards and maintain stock levels.
• Support Pharmacists and other healthcare professionals with patient discharge.
• Line manage Medicines Management Assistants (MMA) and support recruitment.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to audits and scorecards.
