Job summary

London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust is recruiting a Medicines Management Pharmacy Technician to deliver ward-based medicines management across Emergency, Acute and other departments. You will support safe, cost-effective medicine use and contribute to the development of the service within the Trust.

The role requires GPhC registration and a focus on patient safety, with opportunities to train staff, participate in audits and support discharge processes.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Technician role within Medicines Management in hospital wards.
• Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) is required.
• Ability to train and supervise junior staff and contribute to audits.

Responsibilities

• Provide a highly efficient medicines management service to wards.
• Promote safe and cost-effective use of medicines at ward level.
• Assist in training and supervision of pharmacy staff.
• Complete medicines reconciliations and assess PODs for suitability.
