Job summary

University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust is seeking a Ward Manager for the Acute Neurology Ward. The 12-month post leads a nursing team caring for patients with complex neurological conditions, focusing on maximizing recovery and developing leadership skills.

The role suits experienced neurology nurses with post-registration experience, including a year at Band 6 and three years in neurology, and registration with the NMC.

Qualifications

• Degree level study or above required.
• Teaching qualification, mentorship or assessor qualification.
• Registered nurse on the NMC register.

Responsibilities

• Lead the nursing team on the Acute Neurology Ward.
• Care for patients with complex neurological conditions using specialist skills.
• Develop skills in acute neurology care and treatment of chronic neurological conditions.
