Job summary

Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Activity Coordinator to plan and lead leisure-based activities for female patients on Fuji ward. The role involves rota-based shifts including weekends and requires collaboration with Occupational Therapists and the ward therapies team.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with people with mental health problems.
• Previous NHS experience in a clinical setting is desirable.
• Experience working within secure settings and managing sensitive environments.
• Familiarity with the Mobius Clinical Information System or similar patient information systems.

Responsibilities

• Attend professional Occupational Therapy meetings as required.
• Attend ward MDT meetings as required and contribute to care planning.
• Lead and organise recreational activities for groups and individuals.
• Prepare activity resources and equipment before patients arrive.
• Record interventions in an agreed format and support volunteers.
