Tees Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Activity Coordinator to plan and deliver activities meeting therapeutic, social and recreational needs for clients on Foss Park Hospital's Adult Mental Health Acute wards.

The role involves liaising with service users, carers and the multi-disciplinary team to reflect care plans, promote engagement and well-being, and participate in quality improvement activities. A relevant Level 3+ qualification is required.

Qualifications

• Relevant level 3 or above qualification in health and/or social care, communication, teaching
• Level 3 qualification in health and social care if not in place already

Responsabilités

• Plans and facilitates a range of activities for clients with varied needs under supervision of an occupational therapist
• Develops diversional/recreational activity programmes with OT and nursing staff
• Co-facilitates groups with HCAs, nurses, OT staff, fitness instructors and third sector agencies
• Demonstrates knowledge of current clinical issues affecting clients under OT supervision
• Establishes effective therapeutic engagement with service users and carers
• Works within a multi-professional team and provides information and practical advice to clients and carers
