Job summary

NCIC is recruiting a Band 2 Housekeeper for West Cumberland Hospital, Whitehaven. The role is up to 24 hours per week with part-time hours and training provided. The post is permanent, fixed in a busy NHS ward environment with focus on cleanliness and patient care.

Salary is £25,272 per annum (pro rata) and the role includes benefits and career development within a clinically led organisation.

Qualifications

• Experience in a hospital setting is not required as training will be provided.
• Food safety/hygiene certificate or willingness to undertake
• Good standard of general education

Responsibilities

• Monitor and replenish ward stock and prepare stock requisitions.
• Maintain high cleaning and hygiene standards in ward areas and rooms.
• Ensure safe disposal of waste and report hazards.
• Support Ward Manager to keep the ward environment safe and tidy.
• Report equipment faults and incidents per Trust policy.
• Prepare and serve hot/cold beverages and meals to patients.
• Assist patients with eating to meet nutritional needs.
• Assist with clothing and toiletries for patients.
