Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS foundation Trust is looking for a reliable cleaner to ensure ward cleanliness meets agreed standards, assist with cleaning and catering tasks, and make patient areas welcoming for visitors.

With the ward team you will manage curtain changes, discharge room preparation, clothing handling, consumables, and stock in rotation, while supporting infection control, safeguarding policies and mandatory training.

Mansioni

• Ensure ward cleaning meets agreed standards and address shortfalls promptly.
• Assist with cleaning and catering tasks as per works schedule.
• Keep day area, dining room and interview rooms clean, tidy and welcoming for patients and visitors.
• Clean patients' en-suite bedrooms and keep ward tidy at all times.
• Establish and assist with curtain changing programme in line with Trust policy.
• Prepare en-suite bedrooms after patient discharge for next admission.
• Wash and correctly store patients' personal clothing.
• Order consumables and other supplies, store them and rotate stock.
• Assist nursing staff in cleaning medical equipment.
• Attend mandatory and non-mandatory training as required.
• Serve meals, snacks and beverages including special diets, adhering to standards and procedures.
• Ensure ward complies with Trust Food Hygiene policy; monitor fridge temperatures and report non-compliance.
• Follow infection control procedures and training; adhere to safeguarding policies for children and vulnerable adults.
