The Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust in Liverpool is seeking a Ward Housekeeper (Band 2) to join the ward team. The role involves supporting nursing staff, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in clinical areas, and creating a safe, comfortable environment for patients.

The post is a fixed-term 6-month contract, full time (37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday). Salary is £25,272 per annum pro rata, with closing date 30/10/2026.

Qualifications

• General education
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills
• Basic IT skills
• Food hygiene certificate or willing to undertake short course

Responsabilités

• Maintain cleanliness of clinical areas to a very high level
• Provide refreshments to patients and families where appropriate
• Support ward team with underlying tasks to enhance patient care
• Ensure bed spaces are prepared for new admissions by cleaning and tidying
• Maintain a safe environment in conjunction with other staff
• Report damaged equipment and maintenance needs to estates
• Ensure equipment and stock are stored safely and accessibly
