Job summary

The Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 2 Housekeeper at its Erdington ward. This role involves maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment for patients within Eden Acute ward and across the ward areas.

We offer a permanent, full-time post of 37.5 hours per week (9-5, Monday to Friday) with DBS checks and mandatory training. A supportive team culture and opportunities for development are part of our commitment to excellent care.

Qualifications

• COSHH qualifications required.
• Health and Safety qualifications required.
• Food hygiene level 2 required.

Responsibilities

• To work as a member of the ward team by contributing to the provision of a comfortable and effective stay for patients.
• To be responsible for overseeing that the ward is clean and tidy.
• That patients food is stored correctly, that repairs, maintenance, linen services and consumables are available to contribute to a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere.
