Job summary

East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated Senior Clinical Pharmacy Assistant to support safe, efficient pharmacy services across wards and clinical areas. You will help ensure timely medicine supply, maintain stock accuracy and support clinical teams to meet patients’ medication needs.

Role requires excellent communication, attention to detail and flexibility to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication with clinical teams and patients.
• Strong attention to detail in stock control and documentation.
• Ability to work flexibly including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support ward-based top-up services and ensure timely supply of medicines.
• Monitor medicine stocks and expiry dates; maintain emergency drug supplies.
• Assist with supply, dispensing and transfer of medicines; assess patients’ own drugs per SOPs.
• Support audits, collect performance data and train new staff within scope of practice.
