Job summary

East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Clinical Pharmacy Assistant Technical Officer to join the team at William Harvey Hospital, Ashford, Kent. You will support ward stock management and ensure medicines are available when needed, working within a friendly clinical team.

Responsibilities

• Complete ward stock checks and manage Automated Dispensing Cabinets.
• Review ward stock lists and ensure medicines are in date and stored safely.
• Support medicines governance by carrying out audits and ensuring safe storage on wards.
• Manage stock shortages for designated wards to ensure patients receive medicines.
• Support ward-based top-up service locally and to satellite units (Pilgrims Hospice).
• Re-order medications for Automated Dispensing Cabinets and restock them daily.
• Liaise with procurement and feedback supply issues to Pharmacist/Technician for the ward team.
• Monitor fridge and drug storage temperatures and record readings.
