Job summary

NHS University Hospitals of Liverpool Group is seeking a supervisor to lead a ward-host/hostess catering team at Royal Liverpool Hospital. You will oversee service, support rosters, and ensure meals reach patients with proper temperatures and beverage service.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support a team with ward catering duties.
• Assist with plating and service of meals to patients and condiments.
• Probe and record food temperatures, and monitor equipment temperatures.
• Provide beverage service to patients and maintain water jugs/beakers.
• Take patient orders and relay requirements to the catering department.
• Manage rosters and allocate work; liaise with management during staff shortages.
• Carry out staff appraisals and support budgeted overtime.
