As a Support Worker, you will support individuals with PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities) and Mild Learning Disabilities. The role may include manual handling, medication administration, personal care, food preparation, household tasks, supporting individuals to maintain contact with family and friends, accessing the community, and attending appointments. We provide support for daily living skills and socialisation.
We recognise each person as an individual and provide a unique, person-centred service tailored to their needs. The role aims to promote independence, choice, dignity, and respect by delivering the highest standards of support. We offer people with PMLD a safe and secure home where they can live independently with the support they need.
Ideally, the successful candidate will have a qualification in health and social care (though this is not essential) or experience working in supported living settings and/or with individuals with PMLD.
Note: You will be required to work alternate weekends as part of your rota.
