Job summary

Orwell’s Swann House in Saxmundham is hiring a Waking Nights Care Assistant. 18 hours per week, 22:00–07:00 shifts, supporting residents with daily living activities and medications, in a compassionate, person-centred setting.

Salary: £12,004.31 per year (FTE £25,342.44 per annum). This role requires lone working and adherence to safeguarding. DBS check will be completed; visa sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• Care experience desirable.
• QCF Level 2 in Health and Social Care desirable.
• Full driving licence desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support daily living activities, including personal care, mobility, meals and medication.
• Build person-centred relationships and provide emotional support.
• Record and report observations within care plans with clear communication.
• Support people with dementia, mental health needs and end-of-life care.
• Maintain safeguarding responsibilities and respond to concerns appropriately.
• Contribute to person-centred care planning based on individual needs.
