Job summary

Codi Group is a not-for-profit organisation providing housing-related support at the Swansea Young Persons service in Moriston. We are seeking a Waking Night Young Persons Scheme Support Officer to ensure safety and well-being during the night shifts (22:30–7:30) on a rolling rota.

The role offers the chance to empower young people aged 16–24 to gain independence, with essential emotional and practical support in a challenging but rewarding environment.

Qualifications

• No prior experience or specific qualifications required.
• Ability to work alone and as part of a team.
• Willingness to handle challenging situations during night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Empower individuals with the knowledge and tools needed to live independently.
• Address complex behaviours and needs, including alcohol misuse, mental health issues, substance misuse, and offending behaviour.
• Work with a wide range of personalities and behaviours, including individuals who may be resistant to support.
• Adapt your approach to effectively engage with a diverse clientele.
• Undertake lone working, requiring strong communication skills, resilience, and confidence to work on your own initiative.
