Job summary

Completely Care Recruitment Consultants Ltd is seeking experienced Waking Night Support Workers to provide high-quality overnight care for adults with diverse needs in Ystrad Mynach and nearby areas. You will play a key role in safety, wellbeing and comfort during the night, with the flexibility and variety of agency work.

Essential qualification includes an All Wales Manual Handling Passport, plus at least 6 months UK care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred overnight support in line with individual care and support plans.
• Assist with personal care, continence care, repositioning, and other night-time needs.
• Conduct welfare and safety checks to keep individuals comfortable and secure.
• Complete care documentation, incident reports, and handover records.
• Offer emotional support and reassurance to anxious or distressed individuals.
• Support safe mobility and transfers using moving and handling techniques.
• Respond to emergencies and safeguarding concerns calmly and professionally.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and perform light housekeeping as required.
• Work independently while liaising with colleagues and healthcare professionals.

Are you a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker looking for flexible agency work? We are currently recruiting experienced Waking Night Support Workers to provide high-quality overnight care and support to adults with a range of support needs in Ystrad Mynach and the surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred overnight support in line with individual care and support plans.
• Assist with personal care, continence care, repositioning, and other night-time support needs while maintaining dignity and respect.
• Conduct regular welfare and safety checks to ensure individuals remain comfortable and secure throughout the night.
• Accurately complete care documentation, incident reports, and handover records.
• Offer emotional support and reassurance to individuals who may experience anxiety, distress, or sleep-related difficulties.
• Support safe mobility and transfers using approved moving and handling techniques.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies, safeguarding concerns, and challenging behaviours in a calm and professional manner.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and secure environment, carrying out light housekeeping duties where required.
• Work independently while liaising effectively with colleagues and other healthcare professionals.
