Job summary

Agincare Weymouth is seeking a Female Waking Night Support Worker to provide 1:1 support in a young adult’s home, including personal care and daily living tasks. You will work 10pm–9:30am or 3pm–10pm with shifts adjustable to availability in a small, dedicated team.

The role requires patience, observance of routines and building trust with the person supported. Experience with learning disabilities is desirable, full training provided, and a driving licence is a plus but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 personal care and support to the client.
  • Assist with daily living tasks, dressing and toileting.
  • Prepare safe meals and monitor dietary needs.
  • Support out in the community and during night shifts.
  • Record notes accurately and report concerns promptly.

We’re looking for caring and reliable Female Waking Night Support Worker to join a small, dedicated team supporting a young adult with complex needs in their own home. You’ll be providing 1:1 support to help them live safely, happily, and with as much independence as possible, both at home and out in the community.

About the person you’ll be supporting:

They are a friendly and sociable person who enjoys being around familiar people, sensory activities, going for walks, spending time outdoors, and exploring the local area.They thrive on routine and feel safest when supported by people who understand them well. Communication is non-verbal, using body language and sounds, so being observant and taking the time to get to know them is essential. They are happiest when life is predictable and when their support team work together to keep them safe, comfortable, and engaged.

Where you’ll be working:

  • Day shifts - 3pm-10pm
  • Waking night shifts - 10pm - 9.30am
  • Shift times can be adjusted based on applicant availability

Please note:This role involves full personal care, meal preparation, and following detailed routines.

  • Recording daily notes accurately and reporting any concerns promptly
