Job summary

Dimensions is seeking compassionate Waking Night Support Workers for Portsmouth (PO1/PO2) roles. You will support people with complex needs during overnight hours, promoting wellbeing, safety, and dignity in a calm, patient, person-centred manner.

Roles include night shifts (21:00–09:00 or 22:00–08:30) across Portsmouth homes, with full-time and part-time opportunities. Competitive benefits and pathways for progression are offered by Dimensions.

Qualifications

Care for people with profound learning disabilities and complex health needs.
Calm, patient, and person-centred approach during night shifts.
Good communication and diligent record-keeping are essential.
Independent night-shift work with a respectful, dignified attitude.

Responsibilities

Carry out wellbeing and safety checks through the night.
Maintain a clean, hygienic environment and complete laundry/cleaning tasks.
Record information accurately using digital systems (care notes, plans, incidents).
Create a calm, therapeutic atmosphere and respond to individual needs.
Respect routines and independence of individuals in the evenings and overnight.
Provide personal care and health-related support with dignity.
Work with colleagues to follow care plans and ensure consistent, person-centred care.
