The Edmund Trust & Eddie’s is seeking a Waking Night Support Worker in Cambridge to provide person-centred support to a gentleman with epilepsy and learning disabilities. The role invites a nurturing, patient approach and a commitment to helping him live more independently.

Based at Orchard Park, Cambridge, the role offers training, career development, and a supportive benefits package. Night shifts and sleep-ins are part of the flexible rota, with excellent pay and pension contributions.

Qualifications

• Licence: A full UK driving licence is essential.
• Flexibility: Various shift patterns, including sleep-ins.
• Qualities: A nurturing, supportive, and patient approach with strong communication skills.
• Experience: No experience? Training provided; experienced welcome.
• Right to work: No sponsorship and no extra 20 hours for sponsored workers.

Responsibilities

• Deliver person-centred support empowering individuals to live their best lives.
• Follow individual support plans and communication needs, including non-verbal cues.
• Assist with daily living, meals, medication, and personal hygiene.
• Maintain open communication with those we support, families, and colleagues.
