Job summary

Grangemead in Hailsham is seeking a Waking Night Support Worker to join a dedicated team caring for adults with learning disabilities in a hotel-style setting. You will work with a colleague to ensure safety and wellbeing during night hours, including medication administration and personal care.

The role emphasises dignity, respect, and independence, with thorough induction, training, and ongoing supervision. Interviews will be held in September 2026 at Grangemead.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide support respectfully and sensitively.
• Patience and understanding when providing support.
• Ability and willingness to assist with medication administration and personal care.
• Understanding health conditions and how they may affect a client’s presentation.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications in line with care plans.
• Conduct regular welfare checks during the night.
• Prepare drinks and snacks as needed.
• Assist with personal care maintaining dignity and independence.
• Perform security checks and maintain cleanliness to uphold high standards.
