Family Care Group is seeking a Waking Night Residential Childcare Worker in Formby, Liverpool. You will join a therapeutic team to ensure overnight safety and well-being for children, maintaining a calm and secure environment even while they sleep.

The role involves night shifts, domestic duties, logging events, and following the care plan to deliver personal care when required. DBS checks are mandatory, and the employer supports safeguarding and professional development.

Formación

• Experience in residential childcare is preferred.
• Desirable experience with learning disabilities or mental health support.
• Waking Night shift availability (night rota) required.
• Enhanced DBS certificate is required on appointment.

Responsabilidades

• Remain awake and vigilant for the duration of the night shift to safeguard children.
• Perform domestic duties (cooking/cleaning) as identified in handover.
• Maintain a shift log and prepare handover notes for staff.
• Provide personal care as guided by the child care plan.
• Ensure building security during the shift.
• Participate in training and complete relevant diploma per Children’s Home Regulations 2015.
