Family Care Group in Formby is seeking a Waking Night Residential Childcare Worker to oversee overnight safety and wellbeing for children and young people. You will join a therapeutic team in a role focused on creating a calm, secure environment during nighttime hours.

The position requires experience in residential care, DBS clearance, and willingness to work night shifts on a rota basis with a 152-hour monthly commitment. Training and development opportunities are provided.

Competenze

• Residential childcare experience preferred.

We're looking for dedicated Waking Night Residential Childcare Workers to join our caring, experienced team in Formby. About us: Family Care are a family-owned social care provider working therapeutically with children for over 30 years, we are committed to creating a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment where every child and young person can thrive. About the role: As a Waking Night RCW, you will play a key role in ensuring the overnight safety and well-being of the children in our care. Working as part of a therapeutic team, you'll contribute to a calm and secure environment where young people can feel protected and respected, even while they sleep. Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• To remain awake and vigilant for the duration of your shift ensuring young people are safeguarded throughout the night
• To undertake such domestic duties including cooking and cleaning that have been identified on the daily handover and passed to you by the Team Leader at the beginning of your shift
• To maintain a log of events throughout the course of your shift and prepare handover ready for staff in the morning
• To deliver personal care when guided by the young person's care plan
• To be responsible for the security of the building for the duration of your shift
• To participate in training as directed by your line manager and if applicable complete diploma in line with Children's Home Regulations 2015

What we are looking for:

• Ideally have previous Residential Childcare experience
• Experience with Learning disabilities or mental health support for adults & children is desirable
• Work on a Night shift/Rota basis - Waking Night shifts (152 hours per month)
• An enhanced DBS certificate will be required upon appointment
