Job summary

Family Care Group in Formby is seeking a Waking Night Residential Childcare Worker to oversee overnight safety and wellbeing for children and young people. You will join a therapeutic team in a role focused on creating a calm, secure environment during nighttime hours.

The position requires experience in residential care, DBS clearance, and willingness to work night shifts on a rota basis with a 152-hour monthly commitment. Training and development opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Residential childcare experience preferred.
• Experience with learning disabilities or mental health support desirable.
• Willing to work night shifts on a rota (152 hours per month).
• Enhanced DBS required upon appointment.

Responsibilities

• Remain awake and vigilant for the duration of your shift to safeguard young people overnight.
• Undertake domestic duties including cooking and cleaning as identified at handover.
• Maintain a shift log and prepare handover for morning staff.
• Deliver personal care as per the child’s care plan.
