Job summary

Weavers Lodge in Castle Cary is seeking a compassionate Waking Night Support Worker to care for adults with learning disabilities and complex needs. The role includes personal care, wellbeing checks, and maintaining records to ensure seamless continuity with day shift staff.

Salary starts at £14.25–£14.75 per hour DOE, with weekend work required. Training and development are provided, and a supportive, person-centred team environment is emphasised.

Qualifications

• Experience with caring for adults with learning disabilities and complex needs.
• Experience with challenging behaviour is preferred; PBS knowledge is desirable but training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care during night shifts in a calm, respectful manner.
• Conduct regular wellbeing checks and respond promptly to needs.
• Maintain accurate records and liaise with daytime team to ensure continuity.
• Maintain a clean, quiet, and safe overnight environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues to implement person-centred care plans.
