Job summary

Glenholme Specialist Healthcare is recruiting a Male Waking Night Support Worker to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a young man with complex needs at Warwick Manor, Bedford. This is a fully waking night role, not sleep-in, focusing on safety, dignity and continuity of care.

You will work nights 21:30-07:30, supporting morning routines and college preparation, with DBS checks and safeguarding in place. Experience with learning disabilities and challenging behaviours is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities and challenging behaviours.
• Experience working with complex needs and self-injurious behaviours.
• Commitment to safeguarding and person-centred care.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support throughout the night.
• Monitor wellbeing and respond to behaviours that challenge.
• Assist with personal care when required.
• Support morning routines and prepare the individual for college.
• Maintain detailed and accurate care records.
• Work with the wider team to ensure consistency of care.
