Job summary

Audley Villages is seeking a friendly Waiter/Waitress to join our luxury retirement village dining team. You will welcome guests, take reservations, seat diners, explain the menu and deliver high-quality service across our restaurant and bar areas.

The role involves assisting with guest suites, monitoring stock, setting up for events, and maintaining impeccable cleanliness. Prior hospitality experience and a smart, professional appearance are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in hospitality and handling cash.
• Excellent communication and a helpful, guest-focused attitude.

Responsibilities

• Take reservations and seat guests, advising on the menu.
• Provide warm, professional service at all times.

The Role

The Restaurant is set within our Audley Retirement village, the village has its own health club, library, fine dining restaurant, bar and luxury suites. Audley villages comprises of owners, who permanently reside on site within their own private homes but also hosts external customers. As our Waiter / Waitress you’ll ensure that Audley Owners and External Customers have the highest quality of service and experience. Thanks to you, owners and the guests who come to enjoy the exceptional food and surroundings at our restaurant and bistro will get a warm welcome and a smooth, seamless service.

Whether you’re taking reservations, seating guests, advising on the menu, serving afternoon tea, promoting the village and our luxury spa, or sharing a joke with regulars, you’ll deliver an exceptional service. You’ll also help service our guest suites, answer owners’ enquiries, keep an eye on stock levels, help set up for special events, and keep everywhere looking scrupulously clean.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience in hospitality and handling cash (preferably).
• Taking pride in everything you do is an essential quality for this role.
• A ‘can do’ attitude and an organised approach that ensures things get done.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Self-motivated and driven by standards and sales opportunities.
• Eager to learn and develop.
• Hands on and flexible approach to daily duties and shift patterns.
• Warm, professional and empathetic, as well as smartly turned out.
