Humble Grape Canary Wharf is seeking a Waiter/Waitress to deliver warm, attentive service in a wine-led environment. You’ll welcome guests, take orders, describe dishes and pair wines while collaborating with kitchen and bar teams.

This role suits someone who loves hospitality, cares about presentation and guest experiences, and is keen to learn about wines. Full right to work in the UK is required and training support including WSET is offered.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in hospitality preferred but not required.
• Passion for hospitality and delivering guest experiences.
• Interest in wine and willingness to learn about grapes, regions and producers.
• Good spoken and written English.
• Team player who supports colleagues and learns new skills.

Waiter / Waitress – Humble Grape Canary Wharf

Humble Grape Canary Wharf is looking for a passionate, friendly and enthusiastic Waiter/Waitress to join our team and help deliver the exceptional wine, food and hospitality experience we're known for.

This is a hands‑on hospitality role for someone who loves being on the floor, enjoys connecting with guests and takes pride in creating memorable experiences through great food, wine and service.

We're looking for someone who brings positive energy, a genuine passion for hospitality and a willingness to learn. Whether you're already experienced in a restaurant or looking to develop your skills in a vibrant wine‑led environment, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing

• Delivering warm, friendly and attentive service to every guest

• Welcoming guests, understanding their needs and helping them feel at home

• Learning about our wines and helping guests discover bottles they'll love

• Taking food and drink orders accurately and confidently

• Describing dishes, recommending wine pairings and sharing the stories behind our wines

• Working closely with the kitchen, bar and wider team to ensure smooth and efficient service

• Maintaining excellent standards of presentation, cleanliness and organisation across the venue

• Handling guest questions and feedback with a positive, professional attitude

• Supporting your teammates during busy services and contributing to a strong team culture

• Following service procedures, food safety standards and responsible alcohol service practices

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in a restaurant, bar or customer‑facing hospitality role is preferred, but not essential for the right candidate

• A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering excellent guest experiences

• An interest in wine and a willingness to learn about different grapes, regions and producers

• A friendly, confident and approachable personality

• Strong communication skills and a positive, can‑do attitude

• The ability to work well under pressure in a fast‑paced environment

• A reliable, organised and proactive approach to work

• Pride in personal presentation and attention to detail

• Good spoken and written English

• A team player who is happy to support colleagues and learn new skills
