Portland, a Michelin-starred restaurant in Fitzrovia, London, is seeking Waiters, Waitresses and Front of House Team Members to join our exceptional team. You will deliver thoughtful, attentive service and welcome guests with warmth, ensuring a memorable dining experience.

Working closely with kitchen and front of house colleagues, you’ll take orders, recommend wines and maintain high standards across busy services.

The Role

As a member of our Front of House team, you'll help deliver the thoughtful, relaxed and knowledgeable service that Portland is known for.

Working closely with the kitchen and your colleagues, you'll ensure every guest feels welcomed, looked after and eager to return.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Welcoming guests with genuine warmth and professionalism
• Delivering attentive, knowledgeable and personalised service throughout each shift
• Taking food and drink orders accurately and confidently
• Serving exceptional food and carefully selected wines
• Working closely with the kitchen to ensure seamless service
• Preparing the restaurant before service and maintaining high standards throughout the day
• Supporting your teammates to create a positive and collaborative working environment

Great service at Portland is attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable without being pretentious, and always generous.

About You

We're looking for people who love hospitality and enjoy making others feel welcome.

You'll ideally have:

• Experience as a Waiter, Waitress, Front of House Team Member or Restaurant Server (experience in fine dining is an advantage but not essential)
• A naturally warm, positive and professional approach
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail
• The ability to remain calm and organised during busy services
• Curiosity about food, wine and hospitality
• A willingness to learn and develop your skills
