Job description

7 Kensington Mall, London, W8 4EB, UNITED KINGDOM

Pay: £14.50–£16.00 per hour
Location: Notting Hill
Experience required: Minimum two years in a fast-paced, high-end restaurant

NAKIMUSHI is a new dual-format Japanese townhouse from the team behind Michelin-starred Dorian, EEL Sushi, Supermarket of Dreams and the Notting Hill Fish + Meat Shop.

Created through a collaboration between two popular residencies — Urchin by chef Yuji Shimokawa Kelly and Robin’s Ramen by chef Robin Kosuge — NAKIMUSHI brings two distinct but complementary Japanese dining experiences together under one roof.

The ground floor will operate as a fast-paced ramen bar with an open kitchen and shared seating, while the upper-floor restaurant and bar will explore a broader style of Japanese cooking, centred around ramen, robata-grilled seafood, carefully sourced meat and exceptional produce.

We are now looking for an experienced Waiter to join the opening team.

The role

You will deliver confident, attentive and personable service in a busy, high-end restaurant environment. You will guide guests through the menu, provide thoughtful recommendations and work closely with the kitchen, bar and wider front-of-house team to create a seamless experience.

You will be expected to:

Welcome guests warmly and provide polished, knowledgeable service

Learn and confidently explain the food and drinks menus

Take accurate orders and manage your section efficiently

Anticipate guests’ needs without making the service feel formal or forced

Maintain excellent presentation and cleanliness standards

Communicate clearly with the kitchen and bar during busy services

Contribute positively to a supportive and ambitious opening team

What we are looking for

You will need a minimum of two years’ experience in a fast-paced, high-end restaurant.

You should also have:

Strong communication and guest-engagement skills

Excellent attention to detail

Good food and drink knowledge

The ability to remain calm and organised under pressure

A professional but natural service style

Reliability, flexibility and a genuine team mentality

Availability to work evenings and weekends

This is an opportunity to join an ambitious new opening, work with exceptional produce and become part of a growing collection of food-led Notting Hill businesses.
