Job summary

Leicester Bus Partnership is seeking a driver to transport vulnerable passengers between home, school, day centres and other establishments. You will start at the depot, perform safety checks, and ensure passenger wellbeing in a safe, comfortable journey.

The role operates Monday to Friday with two shifts (07:30-10:30 and 14:30-16:30), term-time only (38 weeks per year), based at Sulgrave Road in Leicester. A caring approach and effective communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS check required
• Full Driving Licence with D1 category
• DCPC training may be undertaken

Responsibilities

• Drive routes from the depot to pick up and drop off vulnerable passengers
• Perform daily/weekly vehicle safety checks and ensure passenger wellbeing
• Communicate with service users, families, school staff and assistants to ensure safety and satisfaction
