Job summary

Driver Hire Leicester is recruiting D1 Minibus Drivers for school term-time roles across Nailstone, Blaby, Melton and nearby areas. You will transport children and vulnerable adults safely to and from schools, with an escort, ensuring wellbeing throughout the journey.

The role offers split shifts, typical hours 7:00-10:00 and 14:00-17:00, long-term ongoing temporary contracts, and locations across Leicestershire.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence with D1 Minibus entitlement.
• Minimum 2 years' driving experience.
• No more than 3 points on your licence.
• No DD or DR endorsements.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
• Own transport is essential due to the locations and shift patterns.

Responsibilities

• Safely transporting children and vulnerable adults to and from schools, day centres and other activities.
• Working alongside an escort to ensure the safety, security and wellbeing of all passengers throughout their journey.
• There may also be opportunities to undertake additional daytime duties, such as post, meal and associated goods runs.
