Job summary
Octavius Infrastructure is seeking a VRS Lead Installer to spearhead the safe installation of Vehicle Restraint Systems across highways and major schemes in the UK. You will manage on-site teams, interpret drawings, and ensure delivery to NHSS 2 standards while maintaining high safety and quality.
You will coordinate site activities, support site managers and clients, and drive continuous improvement through mentoring and hands-on leadership, including occasional night shifts and weekends.
Qualifications
- Proven experience installing Vehicle Restraint Systems on highways or major infrastructure.
- Experience leading or supervising site-based teams.
- Strong health and safety knowledge and NHSS 2 understanding.
Responsibilities
- Lead VRS installation teams to deliver work safely and to high standards.
- Coordinate daily site activities, including site set-up and traffic management.
- Ensure compliance with NHSS 2 and industry standards.
- Read and interpret drawings, carry out site measurements and oversee installation.
- Promote health, safety and environmental culture on site.
- Liaise with Site Managers, Engineers and Clients for smooth delivery.
- Mentor and develop team members for project success.
